Some Utilities that may be of use to you.

Preserve Files When Deregistering

This will prevent your files from being deleted when you deregister your Kindle.

Download

Steps:

  1. Copy the file to documents
  2. Run the homescreen booklet
  3. Deregister
  4. Copy documents to a PC
  5. Copy documents back to Kindle

4 and 5 are optional but recommended.
This is because when you deregister the Kindle it thinks it deleted your files even though it didn't. We add them back to give the illusion of new files.

Disable Crash logs

Gaah! So many pesky crash logs, from jailbreaks, hotfix, KOReader and other apps. 

Well this is the solution.

  1. Copy to documents
  2. Run home screen booklet
  3. Profit!

Bluetooth in a non-Audible region or deregistered device

Yep. You found out about audiobook and music players for the Kindle, but there's no Bluetooth option. Here's why and a solution

It happens because Amazon is greedy and region-locks the software setting to only Audible regions, deregistered devices also are regionless and don't have store so thus no Audible and no bluetooth. But the hardware's still there and can be activated using these scriptlet pairs.

Download

  1. Extract it
  2. Copy bt.sh to the root directory (aka /mnt/us) of Kindle
  3. Copy and merge documents folder with your own.
  4. You now have homescreen booklets to enable and disable Bluetooth!
